We pray that you are doing well and negotiating family issues during this unprecedented time as our community and the entire world deals with the havoc created by COVID-19.
While the state of NC is under executive order from our governor to "Stay at Home" through April 29, our church office is closed, with pastors and staff coming in on a limited basis to perform essential tasks. We we will continue to host a livestream time of singing and preaching of the Word at our regularly scheduled time Sunday at 10:15. You can access this on the church app, at unityfwb.org/media, or on the church Facebook page.
In addition, Pastor Jeff is posting midweek Bible studies here and on the church Facebook page each Wednesday evening. Pastors Ti (KidMin Pastor) and Jake (Student Pastor) are also posting content and meeting via internet with kids and students. Click on their names to email them for latest information of what to look for and how to access it. Pastor Kevin will periodically update our congregation through email and phone calls of church prayer needs and information. If you'd like to get your email address on the list, send it to email@example.com.
We are also continuing ministry, especially to the elderly and others who are most vulnerable should the virus begin to spread in our area. If you fall in this category and are in need of picking up prescriptions or getting groceries and don’t want to risk being out, please contact the church office or one of our pastors. We are taking steps to organize volunteers to help our church family with these types of tasks. If you would like to be on a list of volunteers to be contacted as needs arise, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
As you are well aware, with continuing ministry comes continual need for support. Our missionaries are still on the field, local ministries we support are still operating, and our church continues to function in reaching out to our people and the community with the gospel. Because of your faithfulness, Unity has always been blessed to have our needs met and more. With the absence of regular offerings on Sundays while we are not meeting together, we encourage you to remain consistent in your giving. Some suggested ways are mailing your gift to the church, sending it through your electronic banking system, or through on-line giving here.
Pray along with us for the spread of the virus to be controlled, for those that have been infected to recover, for wisdom as our leaders deal with the fallout, and for God's glorious gospel to be spread as a result of this world pandemic. We will communicate any status changes with our church family as they become necessary. In the meantime, remember that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).
