There are many ways to serve God through the ministry at Unity. Every Christian is granted spiritual gifts to be used to help the Church. We all have talents, experiences and unique burdens for certain kinds of ministry that tell us where we can best serve God.

Ways to Serve

Kids
Our Kids Team is all about helping the next generation grow in their faith and feel loved and valued. Opportunities to serve include leading during Kids Worship, caring for little ones in the nursery, or teaching and assisting in preschool classes. Whether you’re rocking babies, helping with crafts, or sharing Bible stories, you’ll be making a lasting impact in the lives of our youngest attenders.
Youth

Our Youth Team invests in the lives of middle and high school students, helping them navigate faith, friendships, and everyday challenges. Opportunities to serve include becoming a Youth Sponsor—building relationships, leading small groups, and supporting students during gatherings—or providing meals for students after our All-In services. However you serve, you’ll be part of encouraging and equipping the next generation to live out their faith.

Young Adult

This season of life is full of questions, change, and opportunity — and no one should walk it alone. Our College & Young Adult Team builds community for young adults through connection, mentorship, and real conversations about life and faith. Opportunities to serve include leading small groups, mentoring students, helping plan events, or simply showing up to create a welcoming space where young adults feel seen, valued, and challenged to grow.

Small Groups
Life is better together, and small groups help make that happen. If you feel called to lead a group or open your home as a host, this team is for you! There are also opportunities to facilitate specialized groups like GriefShare and Divorce Care, offering hope and healing to those who need it most. Whether you’re gathering around a living room or leading deeper conversations, you’ll help create spaces where people can grow, connect, and find support.
Discipleship
Have a heart for new believers? This team is all about walking alongside those who are starting their faith journey. Whether you’re guiding them through their first steps in Christ, offering encouragement, or sharing foundational teachings, you’ll be helping to build a strong spiritual foundation for their lives. Together, we help new believers grow in their relationship with God and become active, confident members of the faith community.
Special Needs
The Special Needs Team plays a vital role in supporting individuals with unique abilities, ensuring everyone can engage with the church community. Opportunities include assisting with our Accessible Disciples ministry, providing tailored support during services, and helping with Beyond Capernaum meals, which offer fellowship and nourishment to families in the special needs community. Your involvement helps create an inclusive environment where all individuals are valued and embraced.
Worship

Worship at Unity is more than music — it’s a space where creativity meets calling. If you love to sing, play an instrument, act, or bring scripture to life through expressive reading, there’s a place for you here. From leading songs to storytelling through drama, our Worship Arts Team weaves together moments that move hearts and draw people closer to God.

Production

Our Production Team works behind the scenes to make sure every service runs smoothly and every moment is captured with excellence. Opportunities include serving on the Worship Tech Team or helping operate cameras, sound, and livestream systems. Whether you’re mixing audio, switching shots, or keeping things running seamlessly online, you’re helping create a powerful experience for everyone, both in the room and beyond.

Kitchen

The Kitchen Team is all about providing warmth and nourishment, both physically and spiritually. Opportunities include cooking and serving meals for funeral receptions, church events, and gatherings that bring our community together. Whether you’re preparing a comforting meal for a grieving family or serving up snacks at a celebration, your efforts help create a welcoming atmosphere where people feel cared for and connected.

Connections

The Connections Team is the first smile and handshake visitors encounter at Unity, creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through the door. Opportunities include serving in the parking lot, helping guests find a spot, greeting newcomers at the entrance, and making sure they feel valued and at home. Your role is all about building a bridge from the parking lot to the pew, ensuring that visitors feel seen, welcomed, and ready to connect.

Events

The Event Team makes every church gathering, function, and celebration come to life! Opportunities include setting up and cleaning up for church events, decorating to create a welcoming atmosphere, and assisting with the organization and administration of church activities. Whether you’re arranging tables for a special service or helping coordinate logistics behind the scenes, your contribution ensures that every event runs smoothly and leaves a lasting impact on the community.

Garden

The Garden Team cultivates the land near our church, growing crops to donate to those in need throughout the city. Church members also have the opportunity to “borrow” small plots to grow their own produce. Whether you’re helping with the harvest, maintaining plots, or supporting the community through donated crops, you’ll play a key role in nurturing both the earth and our neighbors.
